AI transparency

Private beta. 8pixel is in a private beta by invitation. The company is not registered yet, so the name on these pages is a working name. We do not take payments.
8pixel uses optional AI features to help you create and improve content. AI is a tool, not a decision-maker. You remain responsible for what you publish and send.
What AI can do
- Suggest and rewrite website copy, SEO copy, articles, offers, and replies.
- Help with structure, translation, image suggestions, image generation, and dictation.
What may be sent to AI
When you use an AI feature, your prompt, relevant text or image, and limited business context may be sent through OpenRouter to the selected model provider. Text selected for translation is sent to Google Cloud Translation.
Do not enter sensitive data
Do not enter national identity numbers, card data, health data, passwords, or other sensitive information into AI prompts. Do not paste a customer's lead, booking, or contact register into the AI chat. Those records are not used as editor-AI context.
Human control
AI can be wrong, outdated, or miss context. Always review facts, prices, legal claims, copyright, and tone before publishing. 8pixel does not publish AI changes by itself. Destructive AI actions require confirmation.
Models, retention, and training
OpenRouter is an AI gateway and may use different underlying model providers. Every call we make carries a restriction telling OpenRouter to route only to providers that do not store and do not train on what is sent. The restriction lives in the code and covers everything: chat, image generation, dictation, and knowledge-source search. If we pick a model with no such provider behind it, we get an error instead of an answer, so a model cannot quietly start keeping your data.
Google Cloud Translation is used only for translation. If it is not active, Gemini through OpenRouter is the fallback.
We still do not promise that every provider in every situation deletes immediately, because we do not run them ourselves. The current provider list is on the Sub-processors page.
Your own AI assistant (MCP)
You can connect your own AI assistant, Claude or ChatGPT for example, to your account. That connection is yours, not ours: the provider you choose processes what is sent under its own terms, and it does not count as one of 8pixel's sub-processors.
A connected assistant can read and change your content, pages, and settings, and can publish where you granted it that permission. Your lead, booking, and contact register sits behind a separate permission that is off by default. Turn it on and the assistant reads personal data about your visitors, and you are responsible for having a lawful basis. Every connection has its own permission list and can be revoked in 8pixel. We log what a connected assistant does.
Turning off AI
AI is an addition to the normal product. You can choose not to use AI features. If you need help with a privacy request, write to contact@8pixel.app.
